WIFTI is a global network comprised of over 40 Women in Film and Television chapters worldwide and more than 10,000 members. All are dedicated to advancing professional development and achievement for women working in all areas of film, video and other screen-based media. To accomplish this goal. WIFTI provides networking and learning opportunities, scholarships, a film finishing fund, a presence at major worldwide film festivals, as well as offering help and encouragement to women who aspire to work in the film and TV industries.

The Women in Film and Television (WIFTI) screening event is held in 20 cities worldwide, including Atlanta. This event celebrates International Women’s Day (March 8) and Women’s History Month. Women in film chapters from all over the globe join forces on or around this date to showcase stories made by or featuring women. Women in Film and Television Atlanta (WIFTA) participates in the annual showcase, now in its fourth year, as part of an ongoing commitment to members and the Metro Atlanta community by helping to bring their stories to the big screen.  The films included in each year’s presentation are chosen by an independent selection committee.
