Spring 2019 Internship Description

Women in Film and Television Atlanta is dedicated to improving the status and portrayal of women in film, television, video and other screen based media. We advance competitiveness by offering students an opportunity to participate in the growth  a strong economy and building vibrant communities.

WIFTA is seeking a candidate for the Spring 2019 Internship to support the organization executive. Reporting to the Executive Director of WIFTA, this internship will offer:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES​

  • Manage and perform some operational procedures relating to general office administration, database management, membership support and special projects.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, initiative, and independence in projects and be able to navigate a wide variety of scenarios.

  • Assist in the timely management of all communication, both written and via telephone, e-mail, and voicemail with a variety of constituents, external partners, and stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES​​

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher)

  • Ability to communicate, both oral and written.

  • Ability to multitask with time-management and organizational skills. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with attention to detail.

  • Exemplify high levels of flexibility, resourcefulness, and sound judgement.

  • Resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be effective independently.

  • Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.

  • Ability to maintain positive relations with internal and external contacts.

  • Ability to work hours virtually and/or weekends on short notice as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE​

  • Current student at an accredited college or university.

  • High school diploma
