    OUR PURPOSE

    Women in Film and Television Atlanta is dedicated to improving the status and portrayal of women in film, television, video, and other screen based media by offering opportunities for media makers to connect, create, champion and inspire.


    Congratulations 2010 WIFTA Mentee!!!

    WIFTA has selected individuals that have demonstrated a long-standing, strong commitment to professional development within the film and television industry.

    The follow six (6) individuals have been selected to participate in the 2010 mentorship program:  Vanessa Anthony, Tiffany Brown, Cynthia Brooks, Nathalie Duran, Victoria Porter, Lauren Waring

    WIFTA Presents CREW CALL


    Women in Film and Television Atlanta is currently in pre-production for a monthly television series that will benefit members by spotlighting member projects and discussing issues that affect women in film and television in Metro Atlanta.


    The projected production start date is early September 2010. Commitment for six episodes over three month period is required; however individual job time commitments will wary. 


    If you are interested in participating in this exciting productions, please forward your resume and  sample of your work, if available, to wiftapresents@wifta.org no later than August 12, 2010. click here for more information and full crew list

    2010 WIFTA $1500 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

    Each year Women in Film and Television Atlanta is dedicated to providing college scholarship opportunities to deserving female student members based on their academic standing, artistic talents and commitment to a film-based curriculum.  Both Current and New Student Members may apply.  The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient’s college or university.  The winner will be announced at the beginning of the 2010 Fall Semester and honored at WIFTA’s 36th Anniversary Gala in October. click for details
